Draft Broadmeadows Town Centre Revitalisation Plan — submissions open
Council is seeking community feedback on the Draft Broadmeadows Town Centre Revitalisation Plan (v1.2). The plan proposes wider footpaths along Pearcedale Parade, a new civic plaza outside the station, and a reduction of on-street parking from 120 to 80 bays.
Consultation questions: (1) Do you support the public realm upgrades? (2) How will the parking changes affect you? (3) What loading and access needs should we consider? (4) Any other feedback?
Our notes: We back the plaza and footpath upgrades, but the parking cut will hurt short-stay trade. Foot-traffic study shows the 11am–2pm peak. Request retention of 40 short-stay bays and a dedicated loading zone on Pearcedale Pde.
Submissions close 5pm, 27 March 2026 via the Participate Hume portal.
